DEATH OF MR. JOHN S. BLOUNT
Mr. John S. Blount died at his home in Waynesboro on Sunday morning last about 10 o'clock, from paralysis. He had been in feeble health for some time, but his condition was not alarming and he continued to attend to his work at the City office, being clerk of the City Council.
Mr. Blount was a native of Burke county, and was a member of one of the oldest families that has been identified with the history of Burke county for generations in the past in war and public service. He was about 60 years old and was a faithful and competent employee of the city. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgia Blount and two sons, Mr. Reginald Blount, of Atlanta, and Master Marion Blount; one brother, Mr. Ed. C. Blount, and a large circle of relatives and friends who regret his death, and extended to the bereaved ones the sincerest sympathy to their loss.
