Funeral services for Faye Irene Owens, 78, of Alicia, who died Wednesday, June 15, at Newport Hospital and Clinic, will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge.

David Decker will officiate, and burial will follow in Strangers Home Cemetery at Alicia.

She was born at Lynn, was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include four daughters, Alice Owens and Jennie Sue Mercer, both of Newport, and Bobbie Marchenkewitcz and Betty Lee, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; seven sons, J.W. Owens of Hoxie, Troy Wayne Owens of Newark, Bradley Owens of Bono, Terry Owens of Alicia, Scott Owens of Walnut Ridge, Donnie Owens of Pocahontas and Tony Owens of Weldon; five sisters, Marie Corbitt of Forrester, Ill., Opal Smith of Kansas City, Mo., Opha Arnold of Hoxie, Jenny Lee Owens of Bono and Lois Fitzwater of Erie, Ill.; seven brothers, Carl Alls of Lynn, Wilson Alls of Walnut Ridge, Richard Alls of Texas, James Robert Alls of Missouri and Billy Joe Alls, John Alls and Jerry Alls, all of Erie; 23 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Owens, and her parents, Willie and Mabel Wrather Alls.
