Jerry was born September 14, 1943 in Lynn, Arkansas, the son of Willie and Mabel Wrather Alls. Jerry married Oretta Starling with whom he had children Michael and Carin. He later married Beverly Janssen who passed away in April, 2009. While married to Beverly, Jerry played a huge role in raising their grandchildren and great grandchildren. He later met Karen Rice with whom he made his home in Geneseo.
Jerry farmed for most of his life, most recently working at Warkins Farms. Jerry also worked for the Village of Erie retiring in 2012. Jerry volunteered for the Erie Fire Department for five years. Jerry also drove semi for Amoco Oil for many years. Jerry was a member of the Erie Baptist Church and served there as a trustee. Jerry was a much loved member of the Erie community prior to moving to Geneseo.
Survivors include his children, Mike Alls, Erie and Carin Tompkins, Moline, a granddaughter, Jessica, stepchildren, Jeanne Lyon, Davenport and Chris Lyon, Erie, 4 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by brothers, Wilson, John, Richard and Carl Alls, sisters, Marie Corbitt, Jen Owens, Opha Arnold and Lois Fitzwater and also nieces and nephews who greatly admired their uncle Jerry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
