Nora Virginia Bolen

Services for Nora Virginia Bolen, 93, of Fireco will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with the Rev. Beecher Garretson in charge. Burial will be in the Hannah-Lilly Cemetery at Odd.

She was the daughter of Thomas and Priscilla Meadows.

Mrs. Bolen died Saturday at 9:45 p.m. in a local hospital after a long illness.

A member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Bolen was a lifelong resident of Raleigh County.

Surviving are five sons, Lundy and Elmer, both of Odd, Mack of Welch, Melvin of Pofftown, N.C., and Clowney Bolen, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Lily Hydjick, Maynard, Mass., Mrs. Pearl Weeks, Fireco, and Miss Mollie Bolen, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen McKinney, Egeria, Mrs. Ocie Logan, Odd, and Mrs Josie Bolen, Crab Orchard; 40 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call today after 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
