James N. Bolen

James Nelson Bolen, 84, Fireco, died at his home at 1:15 a.m. Saturday following a long illness.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and retired farmer, was a son of the late Esaw and Renda Bolen.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Nora Bolen; five sons, Lundy and Elmer, both of Odd; Clowney, Fireco, Mack, Welch, and Melvin, Princewick; three daughters, Mrs. Lily Alexander Maynard, Mass., Mrs. Pearl Weeks, and Miss Mollie Bolen, both of Fireco; a sister, Mrs. Zina Garretson, Coal City; 32 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with the Rev. Kepple Bolen officiating.

Burial will be in the Hannah Lilly Cemetery at Odd.

Pallbearers will be Todge Bolen, Delbert Crouse, Jennings Lawson, Dacil Mitchem, Richard Lilly and S.E. Bowden.

Friends may call at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
