Nellie E. Showers, 70, 810 Heidlersburg Road, Biglerville, died Friday morning, July 18, at the York City Hospital. She had been in failing health for the last year.
The daughter of the late Clayton L. and Edna (Kane) Warren, she was born and had resided in Adams County her entire life.
She was an employee of the Knouse Foods Cooperative Inc., Peach Glen, for the past 15 years before retiring August 1985. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Biglerville.
Surviving are her husband, Kermit B. Showers, and three children, Mrs. Tarence (Nancy) Group and James C. Showers, both of Biglerville, and Barry L. Showers of Orrtanna; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and a number of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by nine sisters: Cleo Helman of Gettysburg; Mrs. Wilda Baker ofFayetteville; Mrs. Eva Taylor, Mrs. Albert (Nora) Kuhn and Mrs. Anna Beamer, all of Biglerville; Mrs. Tillie Wagaman and Mrs. Clarence (Jean) Butler, both of Aspers; Mrs. Blake (Myrtle) Taylor and Mrs. Emory (Ruby) Heller, both of Gardners; and two brothers, Clayton Warren of Gardners and Fred Warren of Biglerville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Dugan Funeral Home in Bendersville.
Interment will be in the Wenksville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 7-9 p.m.
