Geneva Cole Shannon was born March 16, 1895 to Henry Cole and Liza Gale in Kemper County, MS.


On December 19, 1917, she married Leslie Shannon, the son of William Shannon and Isabella Shannon, and twelve children were born to their union.


She died September 11, 1975, at the age of 80.
