She attended Longdale High School in Philadelphia, MS and was a faithful member of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Philadelphia, MS.
She married William "Andy" Smith, Jr. and four children, two daughters and two sons, were born to their union.
She worked at Hershey Candy Factory, Brunough Casket Factory, and Pembroke Consolidated Schools as a Night Watchman in Hopkins Park, IL and for Economy Lodge Food Service in Philadelphia, MS.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with family, watching and playing basketball. Her favorite televisions shows were Walker Texas Ranger, Law & Order, and In the Heat of the Night.
She died January 4, 2023 at the age of 86.
