Lester P. Fort
The death of Lester P. Fort, aged sixty-three, occurred at 9:30 o'clock Monday night at his home on the Westville-Middlefield road after a long illness with a complication of ailments.
Mr. Fort was born March 9, 1876, at Middlefield, son of Irving and Catherine (Willsey) Fort. He spent his entire life in farming.
Surviving are: Mrs. Fort, two sons, Guy and Louis, at home, two brothers, Allen Fort of Middlefield and William Fort of Sharon Springs, two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Wiltse of Springfirld and Mrs. Floyd Wiltse of Fly Creek; and four grandchildren.
Last rites will be conducted at the Brown and Tillapaugh funeral home, Cooperstown, at 2 o'clock Friday by the Rev. Walter A. Miller of Westville, and burial will be made in the Middlefield cemetery.
