On May 20,1942
The death of Mrs. Anna Victoria Fort, of
Middlefield, widow of the late Lester
P. Fort, occurred Wednesday morning
at the Fox Memorial hospital at Oneonta
where she had been a patient for
the past two months. She had been
in declining health for the-past year.-
Mrs. Fort was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward C. Brown and was
born April 14, 1882, in the town of
Middlefield. She lived in Middlefield
village until the last year of her life
when she sold the home farm on the
Westville road and moved to Middlefield
Center. She was a member of
the Middlefield Baptist church and a
valued worker in its various activities.
Mr. Fort died January 2, 1940. Surviving
are two sons, Guy and Louis;
two brothers, Allen Fort of Middlefield
and William Fort of Sharon Springs,
and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock
Friday afternoon at the Middlefield Baptist
church, the pastor, the Rev. Walter
A, Miller, officiating. Burial in the
Middlefield cemetery:
