Irving Fort
Irving Fort died at the home of his daughter, MRs. Eliza Tyler, at Middlefield, Monday evening, November 19, 1917, aged seventy-two years. He had been a sufferer from heart trouble for some time which with other complications caused his death after an illness of but a few days. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having enlisted as a soldier when but sixteen years of age. He is survived by three sons, William of Seward, Allen and Lester, of Middlefield, and two daughters, Mrs. Hannah Knapp and Mrs. Elizabeth Tyler, of Middlefield; also by two brothers, Jesse of Union Center, and William, of Johnstown. The funeral was held from his late home Thrusday, at 2 o'clcok, conducted by the Rev. S.S. Robbins, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church. Burial in the Middlefield cemetery.
