Jackson McClure, 80, of 430 N. 8th Street, Murphysboro, died today in the Jackson County Nursing Home at Murphysboro, after a long illness.
He was born October 9, 1891, in Ava, the son of George and Elizabeth Jarrett McClure.
Mr. McClure was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
He was a Veteran of World War I, and was a member of the American Legion Post in Murphysboro.
Survivors include a brother, Albert, of Ava.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Denny and Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with burial in Crain Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday.
