Mrs. W. R. Lilly, 83, resident of this community since 1891, died at the McPherson County Hospital early last night. She had been in failing health for several months and in the hospital a week. Mrs. Lilly was born in Gundy County, Ill., March 16, 1866, and came to Kansas when she was seven. The family settled in Hutchinson. On Sept. 23, 1891, Mrs. Lilly was married and moved to Roxbury. She and her husband were in the grocery business here for many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include the husband; one son, Charles, Mentor, Kas.; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Blessing, Inman; Mrs. Laura Karber, Roxbury and Mrs. Laveda Lathrop, Norton; one sister, Mrs. G. D. Merritt, Haven, and 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:15 o'clock from the Roxbury Methodist Church. Rev. L. E. Kuhns of that church will officiate. The body will lie in state Saturday evening at the Danielson Funeral Home in Lindsborg. Interment will be in the Roxbury Cemetery.
