John Blessing a pioneer citizen of Roxbury, died at his home in that city, Monday morning. For a number of years he was in business in that city, but a few months ago he retired. He was a widely known and much respected man.

John Blessing, was born at La Porte, Indiana, October 20th 1858 and died at Roxbury, Kansas January 31, 1911; aged 52 years, 3 months and 11 days. He had been a resident of Roxbury for over thirty years. He was united in marriage with Harriet Mason, who with four children, two sons and two daughters, and one granddaughter survive him. He also leaves two brothers, who arrived from Michigan City, Indiana, Wednesday evening to attend the funeral, which was held at the M. E. Church in Roxbury, Thursday, conducted by Rev. J. A. Plantz. Interment was in the Roxbury Cemetery.
