She was born Sept. 9, 1925 in Glenwood, she was the daughter of Charles and Bulah (Chew) Stamm, both deceased. She married George William (Bill) Pearsey July 2, 1952; he survives.
Mrs. Pearsey was a 1944 graduate of New Salem High School. She attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville. She retired in 1987 from First Federal Savings & Loan after 28 years.
Mrs. Pearsey did not have children but cared for many children throughout the years and is survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by nine brothers and three sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with Rev. William Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
