Jospeh H. Stamm, 76
Joseph H. Stamm, 76, formerly of Richmond, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, in Auburn, Calif.
Born Nov. 15, 1929, in Glenwood, he was the son of Charles and Beulah (Chew) Stamm, both deceased. He married Betty West Aug. 26, 1949; she survives.
Mr. Stamm was a plasterer for more than 40 years with Operative Plasterers Cement Masons Local 407, and owned and operated Stamm Tax Service for many years. He was a Past Master of Webb Lodge No. 24 F. & A.M. in Richmond. He was instrumental in making several donations to the community through his work as a board member and on the Stamm Koechlein Family Foundation. He was one of the founding members of The Lighthouse Assembly of God.
Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, David Stamm of Granite Bay, Calif.; two daughters, Kathy (Mrs. George) Gage of O'Fallon, Mo., and Linda (Mrs. Curtis) Johnson of Modesto, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one sister, Pat (Mrs. Bill) Pearsey of Rushville.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Doan & Mills Funeral Home in Richmond with the Rev. Ron West officiating. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a Masonic Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m.
