Morris G Ashby, Sr., retired postmaster and merchant at Van Vleet, died Friday, Jan. 17, at the Houston Hospital. He was 92.
Funeral services for Mr. Ashby, a lifelong resident of Chickasaw county, were conducted at 2 pm, Sunday, Jan. 19 from the Houston Funeral Home chapel.
The Rev. Bobby Hankins and the Rev. Bob Mathis officiated. Interment was in the Houston Cemetery.
