COACH'S WIFE PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Madalene Baker Tudor, 39, Bargersville, Dies; Rites Wednesday In Franklin

Mrs. Madalene Baker Tudor, wife of Lester L. Tudor, coach at the Center Grove high school, died Sunday at 10 p.m., at her home in Bargersville. Mrs. Tudor had been ill for the past month and in a critical condition since Friday.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Vandivier funeral home with the Rev. Richard E. Lentz conducting the services. Burial will be made in the Harris cemetery.
Friends may call at funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m., and are invited to attend the funeral services.

Mrs. Tudor was born December 12, 1903, west of Providence, the daughter of the late Sherman Baker and Dessie Badgley Baker. She was educated in the Union township schools and graduated from the Central Business College. She was at one time employed in the local offices of the Fertig Dairy Company, and the Public Services Company.

On December 1, 1928, she was united in marriage to Mr. Tudor and went to Colfax to live. Last September, the Tudor family returned to Johnson county from Scircleville, where Mr. Tudor had been a coach in the public schools, and took up residence in Bargersville.

Mrs. Tudor, because of failing health, was unable to enter into the social and community life and her chief regret was that she could not renew the many enjoyable contacts she had with friends before her marriage. Her lovable personality endeared her to a large number of friends. She was a member of the Christian Chapel church of Union township, of the Franklin chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and of the Franklin Beta Tau Sigma chapter.

Survivors are the husband and one son, Richard; the mother, Mrs. Baker; three brothers, Custer Baker of Providence, Tommy Baker of Anderson, Kye Baker of Indianapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Spicer of Providence, Mrs. Lizzie French and Mrs. Irma Dickerson of Indianapolis and Mrs. Claudia St. John of Martinsville.
