Graveside services for Arthur Fane MATTESON, 65, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, at Sallisaw City Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Harrison officiated at the services. Burial was under the direction of the Agent Funeal Home. Mr. MATTESON was born to Norman Alexander MATTESON and Leona LAWSON MATTESON on June 16, 1919, in Polk County, Mo. He died Thursday, June 13, 1985, in Sallisaw. He married Ruby Cleota COMPTON May 18, 1968, in Reno, Nev. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Arthur Fane Jr. and James Paul; three step-daughters, Joyce, Jessie and Marilyn; four step-sons, Odell, Ken, Billy and Dennis; three brothers, William, Dale and Tom; three sisters, Lenora, Alta, and Verona; two grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
