Robert Eugene Jones, 77, of Oxford, died at his residence suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday morning, Dec. 14, 2008. He had been in failing health for the past 8 years.
He was born in Oxford, Indiana to the late John Milton and Alta Jane McDade Jones. On July 22, 1951, he married Leona J. Moyars in Swanington, and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sheryl J. McMillan (husband: Paul) of Oxford; two sons, Stanley Jones (wife: Patti) of Ft. Worth, Texas and Stuart Jones (wife: Brenda) of Oxford and 6 grandchildren, Adam, Lani, Kelsey and Cara Jones and Patrick and Conner McMillan.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Jones and 2 sisters, Lois Jones and Helen Roudebush.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
