She retired from White Rodgers as an assembly line worker after 30 years of service.
Clois raised three boys by herself and was very proud of them. She was a very loving, forgiving and dependable person who was an avid bird watcher and gardener. Her favorite vegetables to garden were tomatoes, squash and okra. She loved to cook and can the vegetables from her garden and make relish. Clois was a loving grandmother who loved to baby-sit for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a charter member of the Parkview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three sons: Jack Sharp and his wife, Rosemary of Dallas, Texas; Rickie Sharp and his wife Pam of Batesville; and Mickey Sharp and his wife Sharon also of Batesville; five grandchildren: Matthew and Lance Sharp of Little Rock; Jennifer Larey of Batesville; Abigail and Sydney Sharp of Dallas; two great-grandchildren: Cady Larey and Andrew Sharp both of Batesville. Other survivors include two brothers: Von Perkey of Batesville and Billy Don Perkey of Salem; four sisters: Monnie Jo England of Batesville, Tommie Garlin also of Batesville, Glenn Davis of Pleasant Grove, and Alice Kay Milligan of Russellville; and a brother-in-law, John Ray and his wife Mary Ann of Batesville.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. B. Ray; three brothers: Verl Perkey, J. J. Perkey and Paul Perkey; and one grandson, Todd Sharp.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Parkview Baptist Church with Brother Doc Spurlin officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Vondale Perkey, Bobby Garlin, Hank England, Wayne England, Randal Davis, Keith Davis, John Edger Ray, and Rickie Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Milligan, James Lynn Garlin, Terry Garlin, Dr. Robert Walton and Members of the Parkview Baptist Church.
