Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, from the Chapel of Fails Funeral Home for Mrs. Hilda Faye Haines, 54, of Lucedale. Mrs. Haines died early Sunday morning from gunshot wounds.
Rev. Bill Dement officiated. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.
A native of Lucedale, Mrs. Haines was a member of the City Board of Alderman, a correspondent for the George County Times, a member of the Mississippi Press Association, and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy A. Haines, Lucedale; two sons, Andy Haines and David Haines, both of Lucedale; one daughter, Ms. Carolyn Haines of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Ward of Lucedale; Mrs. Elma Marie Calhoun of Hattiesburg; one brother, Alex McEachern of Lucedale; and one grandchild.
