Mrs. A. N. Ames Dies, Services Are Friday

Mrs. Susan Thompson Ames, 80, resident of Route 10, died Wednesday night at the family residence after an illness of several months.

A resident of Rankin county for the past 23 years, she had formerly lived in Newton where she was born and reared. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur N. Ames, Jackson; one son, T. K. Ames, Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. A. M. Owens, Tuscumbia, Ala.; Mrs. Maudie Hale, Aberdeen; one brother, R. K. Thompson, Newton: two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at Baldwin chapel. The Rev. Marc Weersing, Central Presbyterian church, will officiate. Interment will be in Masonic cemetery at Newton at 3 p. m. Friday, the Rev. J. R. Tackett, Newton, officiating.
