FRANK THOMPSON DIES

On last Saturday morning F. L. Thompson died in a hospital in Meridian after an illness of several months. He had been in bad health for probably two years.

Frank L. Thompson was born near Newton in 1892, being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Thompson, where he grew to young manhood. He was a printer by trade, having probably done his first work in this line in the office of The Newton Record. He later went to Oxford, where he worked in the printing office there for quite a while.

He was married about ten years ago to Miss May Brock of Oxford, and to this union was born one son, F. L., Jr, The widow and son survive him. Also surviving six sisters and two brothers, as follows : Carl Thompson and Mrs C. G. Maynard, Newton; John A. Thompson, Decatur ; Miss Clara Thompson, Meridian; Mrs. Maude Hale, Aberdeen ; Mrs. Lon Owen, Muscle Shoals; Mrs. John Shaw and Mrs. Arthur Ames, Jackson, all of whom were present at the last obsequies.

The funeral was held in the local Presbyterian church on last Sunday afternoon, the service being conducted by the pastor, Rev. J J. Mclnnis and assisted by Rev. T. W. Green. Interment in the local cemetery. We sympathize with the family in their bereavement.
