She graduated from Colfax High School in 1943. On Jan. 10, 1944, she married Robert E. Marvin in West Lafayette, and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2004.
Mrs. Marvin was the head of the credit department at Sears for 27 years before retiring. She attended Heritage United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, reading, flowers and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are a son, John E. Marvin (wife: Sandi) of Lafayette; a sister, Beth Kelley of Lafayette; and a brother, Dick Timmons (wife: Sue) of Colfax; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bob Marvin (his widow, Peggy, survives) and Dave Marvin; two brothers, Joe and Bob Timmons; and a sister, Joann Price.
She enjoyed her dog, Tanner.
