Lloyd was the son of Ray and Pearl Smith Timmons. He had at least one sister, Grace, and one brother, Edward. He married Flossie Fern (Belle) Riley on 25 August 1920, and they had 3 sons and 3 daughters. Lloyd was the custodian at the Colfax School for 20 years before suffering a heart attack and passing away about a month later. He never missed a day of work in all that 20 years, till he became ill.
