Henry's obituary

Provo -- Henry Mower, 78, Fairview farmer and a resident of this city during the winter months, died Wednesday night at his family residence, 632 West Fourth North Street, of a cerebral hemorrhage.

He was born February 4, 1858 in Springville, a son of Henry and Alice Burton Mower.

He moved to Fairview in 1861 and married Ellen Kelsey there on July 10, 1876. Mrs. Mower died on October 28, 1889. He married Sarah Jane Brady Tucker on February 27, 1890, in the Manti Temple. She died December 1, 1903, and he married Frances Ann Richards Mower, his brother's widow, on May 25, 1904.

Besides the widow surviving are three sons and three daughters of his first marriage, Lafayette Mower, Superior, Wyo; Orson Mower, Ray Mower, and Mrs. Clymenia Smith, all of Fairview; Mrs. Alice Fletcher of Sacramento, Cal; and Mrs. Harriet Holliman, Castlegate; and one son and five daughters by his second marriage, Heber Mower, Fairview; Mrs. Beatrice Twilling and Mrs. Verda Hales of Sacramento, Cal; Mrs. Mae Harris, Provo; Mrs. Murl Burnside, Kenilworth; and Mrs. Orba Shelley, Clear Creek.

Also 75 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 pm in the Fairview South Ward L.D.S. chapel. Burial will be at Fairview.
