Sol Baldwin dies in Rawlins
Sol T. Baldwin, died Saturday, May 3, 1986 in Rawlins, Wyo.
Funeral services were held in the Rawlins LDS Chapel on May 5. Services were also held in Afton on May 6 followed by burial in the Afton Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 21, 1918 in Freedom Wyo. to Parley and Stella Baldwin. He married Melba Astle July 29, 1938 in Logan Utah.
He began working for Mountain Bell in Afton in 1951 moving to Rawlins in 1953. At the time of his retirement, on April 28,1986 he was Central Office installer.
He was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by his wife of Rawlins; children Dauna McBride of Saratoga; Bonnie Spicer, Wellington, Colo.; Roland Baldwin, Manitowac Wis,; Bernell Baldwin, Saratoga; Fred, Casper; nephews, Ken Gardner of American Fork, Utah and Tom Gardner of Torrington; sisters Blanch Gardner, Thayne and Ruby Christiansen Grover, Wyo.; Kay Averett, Arlington Wash; Helen Dickie, Severna Park, Md.; Hermoine Pertson, Denver; brothers, Don Gulf Breeze Fla.;Douglas, Kaysville Utah; Melvin, Evanston; 31 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
