Elwood- Miss Mary A. Shockley, 61, of 1916 S. Sheridan Street, died at 6 p.m. Thursday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Kathryn Good, 1902 S. Sheridan St.,after an illness of several months.
The body was taken to the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home where friends will be received after noon today. Sevices will be held at the mortuary at 3:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. James McClain of Marion in charge. Burial will follow in City Cemetery.
Miss Shockley was born December 23, 1900 in Elwood the daughter of James A. Eva Jane (Harney) Shockley. She attended the South Side Tabernacle.
Surviving besides her sister here at whose home she died are two other sisters, Mrs. Chloe Farrell, Warren, Ohio, and Mrs. Flossie Barnes, Marion; two half sisters, Mrs. Madge Nye, Marion, and Miss Laura Shockley, Gary, and five half brothers, John Fox, Alexandria; Graydon Fox and Horace Fox, Marion; Earl Fox, Portland, Oregon, and Dan Shockley, Gary.
