HENRY D TEAS (29 Dec 1883 - 05 Dec 1936)

Henry Ditchler Teas was born in Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas on 29 Dec 1883 to Jesse Thomas Teas and Sarah Jane Cage Teas (his parents are buried in Teas Family Cemetery with dbl headstone). He was the 1st born son of this marriage (had at least 6 sisters and one brother).

Henry D Teas married Iris Eillison (1887-1946). Iris was the daughter of William Albinus Ellison aka "Bene" and Sallie Margaret Lester.

Henry D Teas and Iris were living on Main Street in Robstown, Neuces, Texas at the time of his death. He was owner/Operator of a Cafe in Robstown at least 2 months before his death and reportedly was working there on the day before he died. He died on 05 Dec 1936 in Robstown (likely at his home on Main Street).

Informant for his death records was F C Teas of Bishop, Texas. Note: F C TEAS (informant) is likely to be Frank Cage Teas (his brother)

Headstone incribed with Woodman of the World emblem.

Undertaker was C W Grove of Robstown, Nueces, Texas - removed for burial to Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas on 05 Dec 1936. He and his wife are both buried at Lockhart Cemetery, Lockhart, Caldwell, Texas (with a very nice double headstone). The headstone picture I am posting was taken in Oct 1992.
