Funeral services for longtime Idabel resident Juanita W. Carr, 84, will be at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 21, 2003, at First Baptist Church, Idabel. Burial will follow in Canfield Cemetery with Dr. David Hixon officiating.

Juanita Carr died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, Idabel. She was born July 11, 1919, at Mannsville, Okla, the daughter of Charles B. and Lena Peterman Woolard.

She was a county home economist at the OSU Extension Office, and had moved here from Stillwater 60 years ago.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Idabel, and was a social studies teacher for many years, and enjoyed her church work.

Survivors include one son, David Carr and wife Billie Jean, Garvin; two daughters, Margie McDonald and husband Roger, Bryan, Texas, and Ora Mae Wasson and husband Maurice, Idabel; one sister, Helen Hooser and husband Ernest, Durant; and 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Graham Carr; a son, Paul Carr; and a daughter, Mary Durham.

Professional services provided by Jim Norwood Funeral Home, 115 N. Central, Idabel.
