TISHOMINGO --Services for Charles Gene Woolard, Mead, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Corbin Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Randy Sadler officiating. Interment will follow at Tishomingo Cemetery.

Born Sept. 9, 1928, in Tishomingo, to Charlie Valentine and Lelia May Peterman Woolard, he died June 28, 2000, at Durant. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eugena Jones; and one grandson.

Woolard graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1946. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He married Billie Marie Stephens Oct. 17, 1952. He was employed as an electrical contractor and had lived at Mead for the past 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four sons, Charlie Woolard and Ray Woolard, both Mead, Andy Woolard, Frisco, Texas, and Roy Woolard, Holdenville; three daughters, Linda Guinn, McKinney, Texas, Lelia Spinella, Houston, and Brenda Nelson, Princeton, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 1-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family hour is 7-8 p.m. today.
