Funeral services for Paul Carr, who died Monday in Hugo, will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Hugo First Baptist Church. The Revs. Doug McClure and Dick McClure will officiate and burial will follow in Canfield Cemetery, Idabel.

Mt. Olive Funeral Home of Hugo is in charge of arrangements.

Carr, 58, was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Tishomingo. He was the son of Graham Carr and Juanita (Woolard) Carr. He married Matilda Rojas on Aug. 3, 1963 in Kingsville, Texas.

Carr moved to this area in the late 1970s and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He retired from Southwestern Bell on April 23, 1994, after working for 30 years as a repeaterman. He served in the U. S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by one son, John Charles Carr in 1964, and his father, Graham Carr in 1981.

Survivors include his wife, Matilda Carr of Hugo; a daughter, Angelia Coffey of Sawyer; two grandchildren; his mother, Juanita Carr of Idabel; one brother, David Carr of Henderson, Nev.; and three sisters, Margie McDonald of Irving, Texas, Mary Durham of Texarkana, Texas, and Ora Wasson of Idabel.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for Foreign Missionaries in care of the Hugo Baptist Church.
