She and Oscar met in a Children's home somewhere in NC. They were married in Davidson County, NC. They lived in W-S, NC for a few years and then moved to Surry County NC.
Later on Daisy and Oscar moved to the Pine Ridge community and rented a farm where Oscar farmed tobacco. Daisy had a mental illness and was very unstable at times.
She was the mother of several children: Elizabeth (died in Winston-Salem), David (died in the Philippines in WWII-Memorial #9389731), Oscar (Jr.), Ray, John Henry, Betty, Martha, Blanche, Ida, Ruth, Pauline, and Ethel.
