DUCHESNE -- July 27.—Hyrum L. Ivie, 78, died at his home on Strawberry River Sunday from paralysis.
He was born in Salt Lake County in 1849. He had been married three times, the first time to Miss Emma Robbins of Millard County in 1870. Second to Miss Esther Robbins of Charleston in 1890, and later to Miss Annie M. Thacker of Heber, who survives.
He is also survived by six children, Mrs. May Peck, Idaho; Mrs. Walter Mecham, Mrs. Ike Eaum, Lou, James G., Alford and Clarence Ivie, Strawberry.
He was a Black Hawk veteran, having had many fights with the Indians in early days.
Mr. Ivie came to the Reservation at its opening in 1905 and homesteaded a ranch on Strawberry seven miles west of Duchesne, having lived there since.
Funeral services were held Tuesday and interment was in Strawberry Cemetery.

Emm's Children: Mariam Monetta "May" Mints, Gabrilla Jane Ivie.
Then he married Esther Robbins - children Hyrum Lewis: Pearl, Amos Aldon, Clarence, Joseph, James Gilbert. She died March 6, 1894.
He married Anna Marie Thacker Myler on 29 Dec 1894 at Provo, Utah. She died Oct. 4, 1934. He died July 24, 1927.
