Jesse married Catherine Killian (1854-1914). They had seven children: Robert Andrew (1877-1958); Francis T. (1878-1935); Catherina Ann (c1882-1918) married Joseph William Osman; John A. (c1883-1904); Jesse Helewell (1887-1968); Joseph Washington (c1889-1931); William P. (1894-1986).
He was a broom manufacturer.
