Obituary:
Robert A. Fritz; Requiem Mass will be sung 9 a.m. Saturday from St. Catherine Church with Msgr. Paul E. Gooder as celebrant for Robert A. Fritz, well-known broom salesman. Burial will be in the family plot. Mr. Fritz, who resided at 621 Juniata st., died at 4:05 p.m. yesterday. He had been in ailing health for several years. He was 80. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday in the N. R. Moore Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Fritz was born March 4, 1877, a son of Jesse H. and Catherine Kilmon (sic--should be Killian) Fritz. He never married. A resident of DuBois for 60 years, Mr. Fritz had also resided in Pittsburgh. For many years Mr. Fritz manufactured brooms and sold them in this area. He was a member of St. Catherine Church. He is survived by two brothers, Jesse H., DuBois, and William, Detroit, Mich. Three brothers, Joseph, John and Frank, all of DuBois and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Osman, Elmyra (sic--should be Elmira), N. Y., preceded him in death.
According to his death certificate, he died at the Clear Haven Institute; buried Feb 22 1958, Morningside Cemetery. Informant: Mrs. Paul R. Hoyt, Clear Haven
