Daniel Bland was born between 1816 and 1820 in Bulloch County, Georgia, son of William Bland and Susannah (Alderman) Bland.

In the William Bland family, he is the brother of Jemima (1815); James (1817); David (1820); Timothy (1823); Hiram (about 1824); Rebecca (about 1828); Edith (1829); Safronia "Flonnie" (1831); Sarah (1833) and William H. (1835) Bland.

He married Jincy Parrish. They became the parents of William H (1842); James (1844); Elizabeth "Lizzie" (1846); Mikel (1848); Malachi "Mallie" M. (1852); Mitchell (1853); Benjamin "Ben" (1855) and Newton (about 1856) Bland.

On January 10, 1880, Daniel Bland died in Bulloch County with burial in Lower Lotts Creek Church Cemetery, Statesboro, Bulloch County, Georgia.
