He married Mattie (Mercer) Bland in Bulloch County, GA. In 1884, they had a daughter, Lee Bland.
On Sunday, Dec 28, 1912, Mallie M. Bland, age 60, died at his home near Hubert, Bulloch County, GA. Interment was in Lanes Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Brooklet, Bulloch County, Georgia.
