OBITUARY
Miles Wesley Bartlow
Funeral services were held at the Diamond Lake Lutheran church on Friday, Oct. 24, 1964 for Miles Wesley Bartlow, 76. Rev. Daniel Olson officiated with interment in the Diamond Lake Cemetery.
Miles Wesley Bartlow, youngest child of William Keller Bartlow and Alice Victoria Huckaba, was born Dec. 31, 1897 at Martinville, Illinois.
His life came to an ending October 20, 1964 at 11 p.m. at the Vadheim Memorial Hospital at Tyler Minnesota. He had been in failing health for some time.
He went to public school near Martinville, Ill. He was baptized in the Christian faith when he was a young boy. He was united in marriage to Sarah Ellen Rockwell at his parent's home on July 26, 1908 and to this union eight children were born, all of whom survive. Three years after their marriage the Bartlows moved to Minnesota where they began farming in Clifton township in Lyon county. They farmed there for almost forty years, then moving to a farm near Lake Benton, where they farmed for 12 years. Upon retiring two years ago, they moved to Tyler Minn.
Miles was a member of the Diamond Lake Lutheran church.
Mr. Bartlow is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Frank Cahow, Tyler; Miss Fern Bartlow of Tyler, and Mrs. Cleo Kor of Marshall, Minn. Sons surving are Ernest, of Arco, Wayne of Bell Gardens, Calif.; Harold of Balaton, Manley of Tyler, and Donald of California. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. His wife, mother and father, brother Charles and sister Alta preceded him in death.
