Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 16 for Mrs. Margaret M. Covel, a former resident of St. Helens.
Born Oct. 7, 1915 in Duane, Minn., Mrs. Covel died Dec. 11 in Longview. She was 55. A resident of the St. Helens and Longview area for the past 19 years, Mrs. Covel was a member of the First Methodist Church in St. Helens and the Pythian Lodge.
Survivors include: her husband, Harold Covel of Longview, Wash.; three daughters, Gail Stinton and Lucille Huffer, both of Kelso, Wash., Carolyn Kowaleski in Portland; three sons, Robert Covel in St. Helens, William Covel of Longview, and Richard Dokken of Seattle, Wash.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, two brothers, William F. Blanchard in Minnesota and John D. Blanchard in California, and three sisters, Dorothy Roberts, Eunice Brokow and Mary Colley, all of Portland.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the Coleman-Rushing Funeral Home with Rev. Willard Norman officiating. Interment was at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Fund.
