William Blanchard, 65
William " Bob" Blanchard, 65, 1612 First Ave. E., died late Thursday at a Minneapolis hospital following surgery. He was born Oct. 19, 1913, in Duane, Minn., and came to International Falls as a child.
He began employment with Mando in 1929 and retired from the Woodroom in Boise Cascade Corp. Oct. 31, 1978. He married Gladys Garson Aug. 5, 1933, in the Falls.
Survivors include: his widow, Gladys; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Judy) Huber of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Harvey (Sharalyn) Schaak and Mrs. Doug (Kathy) Laurent in the Falls; two sons, Rickie of South International Falls and Kenneth of Colorado Springs; his mother, Ellen Blanchard of Portland, Ore.; three sisters Tom (Dorothy) Roberts, Mrs. Lee (Eunice) Brokow and Mrs. Orrin (Mary) Caley, all of Portland; 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Evangelical Covent Church with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening and Tuesday morning until noon at the Cudmore Funeral Home, and also one hour before the service at the church. The Cudmore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
