Frances Ciruti, 78, of Baytown was born October 29, 1929 in Baytown and passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008, in a local healthcare facility. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and former owner, along with her late husband, of Ciruti's Grocery Store. She was a great cook and especially liked to bake pies. She liked to sew and watch the Astros and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite activities included watching her children and grandchildren participate in their many activities and having everyone over to her house for Four O'clock Coffee with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Ciruti, Sr.; parents, William and Gladys Wells; brother, William Joshua Wells, II; and sisters, Helen Jere Gittinger and Gladys Torkelson. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd Ciruti, II and Marguerite of Wharton and Stephen and Leisa Ciruti of Baytown; daughters and sons-in-law, Candis and Lonnie Bond of Baytown and Lou and Danny LaBay of Hallsville; brothers and sister-in-law, Gene Wells of Bellville and Joe and Mary Wells of Katy; grandchildren, Charles Ciruti, Simi Ciruti, Floyd James Ciruti, Josh Ciruti, David LaBay, Daniel LaBay, II and wife Jenny and Maribeth Armintor and husband Chris; great-granddaughter, Evey LaBay and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at a time to be announced shortly on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Canizares officiating. Interment will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Ciruti, Floyd James Ciruti, Daniel LaBay II, David LaBay, Sam Wells, Joe Wells, Danny LaBay, and Lonnie Bond. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Ciruti, Roy Burnett, Gene Wells, Soffus Torkelson, Jeff Wells, Joseph Wells, Haymon Sneed, Chris Armintor, Paul Holladay and her nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to Roy and Ethel May Burnett, Mary Ann Cavazos, Jeri Duncan, Jackie Adams, Jerry Torkelson, Goose Creek Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Stat Home Health, Father Dwight, Father Leo and numerous other family members and friends who were there for Frances during her illness.
