Mable died of Polio in a sanitarium near Spokane. She was the first of this line of the Rickert family to die in Longbranch and was buried in the German Lutheran Cemetery (considered Lakebay) along with great-uncles and great-aunts and cousins while the rest of her family, including her mother and father and siblings, were buried at Longbranch Cemetery.
