Golden Anderson, 73, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1991 at his home of acute leukemia.
He was born August 30, 1917, in Bothwell, a son of Rasmus (Daddy) and Mary Elvina Johnson Anderson.
He married Emerene Christensen, December 30, 1954, in Elko, Nevada. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple December 19,1969.
Mr. Anderson attended school in Bothwell and at Bear River High School.
He was presently serving as mayor of Bothwell with responsibilities over culinary water and as Sexton of the Bothwell Cemetery. He was on the Town Board for 35 years, 19 of which he served as mayor. He was a charter member of the Box Elder County Sheriff's Posse.
He was a High Priest in the Bothwell LDS Ward and had served as a counselor in the YM MIA, as a home teacher, and as a coach of fast pitch softball.
Surviving are his wife, Bothwell; two brothers, Milton J. Anderson, Thatcher; Cieone Anderson, Bothwell; 4 sister, Vera Smith, Preston, Idaho; Mrs. Dean (Ruby) Orwin, Tremonton; Mrs. Henry (Estella) Newman, Mrs. Mable Stokes, both of Bothwell. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Leland, Reed, Clyde and Wallace Anderson; 5 sisters, Reta Adams, Aimee Allen, Alice Roche, Wanda Newman and Edna Anderson.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 25 in the Thatcher Ward Chapel with Bishop T. Glade Anderson officiating.
