MAGGIE M. PENNINGTON

Maggie May Pennington, 88, Hambleton, W.Va., died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas, W.Va.

Born July 15, 1916, in Accident, W.Va. (Preston County), she was a daughter of the late McClellan and Martha Annie Waybright Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Finley Pennington, whom she married July 28, 1934, in Red House; four brothers, Wesley, Henry, George, and Frank Bennett; five sisters, Clara Bennett, Jennie Garrett, Mary Catherine Simmons, Leona Hanlon, and Alta Slaubaugh; one daughter, Luretta Jean Pennington; and three sons, Eugene Kenton, Ronald Keith, and Bernard Wayne Pennington.

Surviving are three sons, Terrence Pennington, Cambridge, Ohio, Gary Pennington, Hambleton, and Roger Pennington, Parsons, W.Va.; two daughters, Dorris Knibb, Kirkland, Wash., and Virginia Kisner, Limestone, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis, W.Va., where a service was held on Wednesday, March 16, with the Rev. John Morrison officiating.

Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
