Ervin and his wife, Lillian, were married in Harrison, Ark., on Dec. 30, 1950. He retired from Armco Steel in 1986 after working there for 35 years.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lillian Sweem, of the home; son, Ervin Samuel Sweem and wife Donna; daughter, Terri Lee May and husband Jimmy; sister, Doris Crawford, Moses Lake, Wash.; brothers, Cliff Sweem, Lapine, Ore., R.L. Sweem and wife Alberta, David Sweem; Jerry Sweem and wife Carol, all of Hamilton, Mo.; grandchildren, Michele Chitwood, Christopher Emanuel, Katherine Maciak; 10 great-grandchildren and many dearly-loved friends.
