Margaret A “Peggy” Frazer, 78, died Wednesday, January 12, 2000, at Hamilton County Hospital in Syracuse. She was born June 6, 1921, at Syracuse, the daughter of Harry H and Evalena (Gragg) Herndon. Mrs. Frazer was a deputy city clerk in Syracuse for eight years, retiring in 1986. A Syracuse resident for most of her life, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and various bridge clubs in Syracuse and also belonged to the Trail City Art Gallery of Coolidge, Kansas. On October 4, 1938, she married Clarence Albert Frazer at Garden City. He survives. Other survivors are a son, David Frazer, Moundrige; two daughters, Judy Shafer, Tribune, and Harriet Riley, Kendall; a brother Harry H. Herndon Jr., Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, a brother and two sisters. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. MST Monday at the First Presbyterian Church, Syracuse, with the Revs. Bob Goebel and Bill Salmon officiating. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery.
