Harry Hunter Herndon, 72, died Monday, January 22, 1962, at Donahue Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient two months. He had been ill six months. He was born November 19, 1889, at Richfield, Kansas and was a resident of this community since 1890. He was a farmer and a rancher. Her was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was a World War 1 veteran. Survivors are the widow, Evalena; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Shetterly, Syracuse, Mrs. Margaret Frazer, Lakin; a son Harry Jr. of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Sadie Swayze, Ashland, Mrs. Esther Dearth, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Eva Snider, Larned, and Mrs. Margaret Bolling, Rocky Ford, Colo; four brothers, Presley E, Denver, Colo., John J, Leoti, Albert V., Inglewood, Calif.,and Robert O.,
Syracuse, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian Church. Rev. William Borst will officiate. Burial will be in the Syracuse cemetery.
