Boyd Lee Bryant, Sr., 71, of Rt. 2, Hindsville, died Dec. 16, 1997 at his home. He was born January 30, 1926, at Venus, the son of the late Lonnie Edward and Lucy Bell Keck Bryant. He was a welder and a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. He was a life member of Post #3783, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Ramona, Calif.

Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Sharron Darlene Roe Bryant of the home; his mother, Lucy Bryant of Huntsville, two sons, Boyd Lee Bryant, Jr. and Stephen Ross Bryant of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Camille Laxton of Edwards, Missouri and Miss Pamela S. Bryant of Hindsville; six brothers, Delmer Bryant of Springdale, Otto Bryant, Porter Eugene Bryant, Eddie Bryant and Jerry Bryant, all of Witter; and Garland Bryant of Clifty; four sisters, Mrs. Gertie Burnett of Huntsville, Mrs. Vada Acre of Pueblo, Colorado, Mrs. Anna Christian of Harrison, and Mrs. Jean Tripp of Springdale; one grandson, Jason Peavler of Hindsville; five granddaughters, Coral Jean Zeno of Los Angeles, Calif.; Michelle McNumara and Beth Guthrie of Michigan, Vanessa Laxton and Lea Williams of Edwards, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 19, at the Venus Cemetery with Elder Porter Eugene Bryant officiating. Military honors were by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pallbearers were nephews. Arrangements were by Brashears Funeral Home.
